Angelicum Academy was founded in 2000 A.D., and formally approved by the Church, we offer two homeschool options. The first option is our complete, traditional (offline) homeschool curriculum for grades Nursery-12. The second option is our live, online classes for grades K-12th. Our program is entirely flexible for parents to choose the best options/classes for their child.

We offer an entirely asynchronous (recorded) online homeschool program for grades 9-12th —the Greats Honors Program—using lectures by professors from around the world through The Great Courses Plus™.

All students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to enroll in our renowned Great Books Program. Each week, students and two of our moderators meet online for a live, two-hour Socratic discussion of the Great Books reading. This four-year program may be taken for high school credit, an AA Degree, or as part of our College Credit & BA Degree program, wherein students can earn their AA by completion of 11th or 12th grade and a BA degree by completion of 12th grade. The program begins each September with the Great Books of the Ancient Greeks, then of the Romans, Middle Ages, and ends the fourth year with the Great Books of the Moderns.
Three Options for our Great Books Program (all student join the same live, online Great Books classes)
- High School Credit
- College Credit & Bachelor’s Degree Track (Earn 48 College Credits in our Great Books Program plus up to 14 more college course (42 credits) = 90 college credits.
- Associate Degree Track (30 credits from Catholic Distance University for a total of 78 credits; or 12 Theology Online credits and 15 credits from Holy Apostles College for a total of up to 75 college credits and an Associate’s Degree. All of these credits also count towards a BA degree.
