Religion/Theology Course Options

Rather than taking our Theology Online courses or the Didache religion courses, students needing to complete the required 4 courses of Religion/Theology for our diplomas may do so by taking the following online Religion courses. These courses are offered for free through the Institute of Catholic Culture and are taught by faithful Catholic professors and priests.

9th Grade: Theology 101: Fundamentals of Catholic Doctrine

10th Grade: Scripture 101: Introduction to the Old Testament

11th Grade: History 102: The Church from Christ to Today

12th Grade: Catechism 103: Life in Christ & Catechism 104: Christian Prayer (students must take both courses)

Sign-up Instructions

Go to instituteofcatholicculture.org. Click “login” in the upper righthand corner. There will be a link that says “Not a member? Sign up now.” Click that. Create a username and password—it is entirely free.

Once you have created an account, return to this page and click on the link above corresponding to the course you wish to take. The link will take you to the course page. Click the red “Register” button. Select the “Certificate” track. This will ensure there are quizzes and that you receive a grade for taking the course. The audit option is not accepted by Angelicum for high school credit.

Once you are registered for the course under the certificate track, you can begin watching the lectures. Some courses will have the necessary readings available in PDFs, while other courses may require books. All information will be found on the course page.

Once you have completed the course, if you would like it documented on your transcript, please send the grade along with a screenshot to Angelicum.
